Prometheus Capital Management
About Prometheus
Prometheus Capital Management began with one defining question:
“What do we do now?”
Founder Shane Tripp first asked it on Wall Street during the 2008 financial crisis. After years inside rigid institutions, he saw nonprofits facing the same problem—too few options and unstable funding. Drawing on lessons from his journey—from professional golf to finance—Shane built Prometheus around foresight, discipline, and integrity.
Named for the titan who brought fire to mankind, Prometheus represents forethought—the courage to plan ahead and protect what matters most.
Our values guide every decision
Prometheus has since shifted from serving individual investors to becoming a partner for nonprofits, foundations, and endowments. That pivot was solidified after meeting United Abolitionists and learning the reality of human trafficking in Orlando and across the United States. What began as a financial practice is now a stewardship platform designed to create hope and stability for missions that matter.
