Prometheus, United Abolitionists & the Elpis Fund Explained

A Clear Structure for Mission-Driven Capital

Prometheus Capital Management works with mission-driven organizations to provide professional investment management services designed for long-term sustainability. One such engagement is with United Abolitionists (UA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating human trafficking and supporting survivors.

This relationship is built on clarity, transparency, and defined roles.

Who Owns What

To avoid confusion, it’s important to clearly define responsibilities:

  • United Abolitionists is the nonprofit organization and retains full ownership, governance, and mission control.
  • The Elpis Fund is an investment fund owned and governed by United Abolitionists.
  • Prometheus Capital Management does not own the Elpis Fund.
  • Prometheus is engaged solely as the investment manager for the fund.

All operational, programmatic, and mission decisions remain with United Abolitionists.

What the Elpis Fund Is Designed to Do

The Elpis Fund was created to complement traditional nonprofit fundraising by establishing a long-term financial foundation. Rather than relying exclusively on unpredictable donation cycles, a portion of capital is stewarded with a long-term investment perspective.

The goal is sustainability—not speculation.
