The Elpis Fund

Prometheus Capital Management manages funds designed not only to grow capital but to generate enduring impact. Among these, the Elpis Fund stands as our flagship initiative.

The name “Elpis” comes from Greek mythology. When Pandora opened her box, evil was released into the world, but one deity remained trapped—Elpis, the goddess of hope. We chose this name because hope is what victims of human trafficking need most. The Elpis Fund channels donations into an investment vehicle that generates sustainable distributions for United Abolitionists, allowing them to fight trafficking without living day-to-day on unstable

Why It Matters

Nonprofits often survive hand-to-mouth, relying on the next gift to pay tomorrow’s bills. With Elpis, every dollar compounds. A $100 donation doesn’t vanish—it becomes part of a growing legacy that provides annual support for years to come. This creates stability for leaders like Tomas Lares of United Abolitionists, freeing them to focus on saving victims rather than constantly fundraising.

Transparency

Elpis operates with strict reporting standards. Donors receive clear updates, and United Abolitionists’ board reviews performance regularly. This ensures accountability and alignment with the mission.

Long-Term Vision

As the fund grows, we plan to reduce reliance on market exposure, shifting toward private equity, hedge strategies, and hard assets. The vision is to build a safety net that allows United Abolitionists—and future nonprofit partners—to survive economic downturns and even Black Swan events.
